SGP Campus
Transparency and curved glass walls
The commercial law firm Schneider Geiwitz occupies the former university campus on the banks of the Danube in Ulm. The campus, planned by Nething Generalplaner, was redefined by the architects with a tower building. In addition to a beautiful view of the Danube and Ulm Cathedral, employees can enjoy a restaurant, an espresso bar and a panoramic terrace on the ground floor of the new building. SGP's team of auditors, tax advisors, lawyers and transaction experts has been supporting companies with a holistic, interdisciplinary approach for 40 years. In the existing campus building, our feco partner LBL from Neu-Ulm has created a new working environment with the fecoplan all-glass construction. The corridor glass wall, which has no vertical stud profiles, is held in place on the floor and ceiling only by 50 mm slim, black powder-coated profiles and offers maximum transparency. Translucent glass adhesive tapes ensure a consistently high quality of joint. The all-glass doors, with 10mm toughened safety glass door leaves, have full-height door frames and integrated glass fanlights with transoms, and provide adequate sound insulation with a sound insulation test value of 32dB. The Schall-Ex floor seals are coated in the same colour as the fecoplan profiles. Frame-integrated technical door side panels accommodate light switches, sockets and controls. In this way, a high-quality ambience was achieved economically. Curved glass walls in the meeting rooms add a special touch. If required, curtains can be used to provide privacy. The curtains also reduce reverberation times and improve room acoustics. Plasterboard office partitions are connected to the corridor glass walls in a T-shape with Fecoplan glass centreboards.
The new SGP Campus offers a future-oriented office working environment characterised by openness and transparency. With the fecoplan Nurgal construction, these corporate values can be translated into spaces that support team-oriented and interdisciplinary work. Schneider Geiwitz is committed to minimising the impact on the environment. The non-destructively relocatable feco system walls support the concept of sustainability.
