A central element of the design is the communication islands on each floor, which provide a place for employees to meet, share ideas and collaborate. These islands have been designed with modular furniture systems that offer flexibility and adaptability to different needs. The reception area features a welcoming circular counter that provides a warm welcome to visitors. A welcome lounge provides a pleasant atmosphere for new arrivals. There are also meeting rooms and a quiet room for relaxation and retreat.

Special attention has also been paid to the design of the break areas, in particular the cafeteria. A fully equipped kitchen and a varied menu promote social interaction and the well-being of employees. The integration of natural elements and colours, reflecting the concept of biophilia, creates a calming and inspiring environment that contributes to regeneration during breaks. The HMS Networks distribution centre in Karlsruhe embodies a modern working environment that not only meets the needs of employees, but is also a place where visitors and employees feel welcome and inspired.
