Rapid response to changes in team sizes

The classically modern office and commercial building, which was planned with a special focus on sustainability, energy efficiency and optimised operating costs, is located on Böblingen/Sindelfingen Airfield, next to Böblingen railway station and city centre. The new inter-municipal urban quarter covers around 80 hectares and connects the cities of Böblingen and Sindelfingen, and is currently one of the largest urban development projects in southern Germany. The main tenant of the building since May 2019 has been Harman/Becker Automotive Systems GmbH, a Samsung Group company.

Together with Harman Becker, a spatial concept has been developed in which cooperation and rapid exchange are encouraged, but where project spaces and retreat spaces for concentrated cooperation or individual work are also possible. Harman Becker has equipped all of the approx. 500 workstations with ergonomic sitting/standing desks. The workplace/room structure enables rapid response to changes in team sizes. On the ground floor there is a spacious reception area and the Work Café, where employees and guests can meet in a pleasant atmosphere. The Work Café also serves as a recreational area, and can be used by employees for breaks, concentrated work, communication, encounters and exchange. The rooms have been predominantly equipped with Steelcase products.
