Getinge Experience Center
A spatial world for knowledge transfer and the exchange of ideas
With the opening of the Customer Experience Center in the Gateway Gardens district next to Frankfurt Airport, Getinge is taking another step towards the future and customer proximity and reaffirming its commitment to Germany as a business location, one of the most cutting-edge medical technology destinations in Europe. In addition to the product exhibition area on the first floor, the centre for knowledge transfer and the exchange of ideas also includes training facilities and an office landscape. On the 2nd floor, a spatial world has been created with training rooms of different sizes for individual groups as well as office space for individual and team work, lounges, retreat zones and think tanks. The attractive rooms – in Getinge’s CI colours – will be available to both employees and clients from around the world as meeting places and for knowledge exchange purposes.
The architectural office Fluidlab from Karlsruhe was entrusted with the task of overseeing for Getinge the chosen interior fittings, design and colours. feco as the furnishing partner understood these wishes and translated them into a harmonious product world – mainly with products by Brunner (Rheinau). Several workshop and coordination meetings also took place in the feco-forum with the client’s representatives and Fluidlab.
A major challenge was the implementation of the furniture for the auditorium. Ultimately, the result was 50 comfortable seats in rows of benches, some on a platform. The benches were firmly anchored to the floor and equipped with charging sockets, so that guests can also charge their mobile devices during an event. A seating landscape has been created with sufficient distance and comfort, with height-adjustable tables adding to the latter.
