The non-territorial workplaces are furnished with height-adjustable Migration desks from Steelcase in groups of two and four. The corridor glass wall is designed to be transparent and open with the fecoplan all-glass construction and fecotür G10 all-glass doors. The partition walls with the fecopur skylight glazing are acoustically effective with wall-integrated, fabric-covered fecophon absorbers to reduce reverberation times in the room and improve speech intelligibility.

In the centre of the corridor, a scrum corner with the wall rail system from the Steelcase Flex Collection and ultra-light whiteboards offers ideal conditions for daily standups and brainstorming sessions. The zone is furnished with a Steelcase TouchDown table and B-Free Sit Stand stools.

The meeting room with the wood-decor covered fecotür H70 with R_w,P = 37 dB and vitra Softshell armchairs around a height-adjustable table offers together with a mobile multimedia dual screen ideal conditions for online conferences and video meetings. Two think tanks can be used temporarily as retreat areas for concentrated work.

With the Arena wooden sitting-steps developed by feco, whiteboard carts from the Steelcase Flex Collection and a mobile multimedia screen, the arena offers attractive conditions for agile exchange and multifunctional training courses and workshops. Side tables from coalesse, COR stools and vitra Stool-Tools complement the furniture.

With this pilot area, Fraunhofer ISI has created a successful solution for agile work in a communicative and transparent spatial solution that will serve as a model for other research sites.
