Whereas individual office spaces previously separated the various departments from one another, the new bmp working landscape was to create flexible spatial zones for the different activities of its users, including for concentrated individual work, co-creation and teamwork, as well as meetings, communication and informal social interaction.

To this end, in addition to spacious teamwork zones based on the desk-sharing principle and open spaces conducive to communication, think-tanks of various sizes were created throughout the entire level. Both the names and exterior designs of the transparent cubes constructed using fecofix glass partitions were based on the corporate values of conviction, energy, foresight and partnership.

In line with the company’s sustainable orientation, sustainability, a sense of home and quality were also important criteria in the furnishing concept. In combination with natural plant walls and wooden elements, the selected office and lounge furniture as well as the lights also visually reflect this claim. With their coloured fabric surfaces in strong shades of yellow, orange, blue and green, they incorporate the company’s CI colours and thus simultaneously fulfil an important identity-forming function.

Despite the open structure and the striking colour palette, everything in the new bmp workspace blends together to form a harmonious unit that radiates a warm cosiness both acoustically and haptically thanks to its balanced mix of materials. At the same time, purposely deployed dividers provide visual structure and demarcation and ensure the necessary discretion.
