Atruvia AG, Karlsruhe is one of the largest German IT service providers. On the company’s own site in Karlsruhe-Durlach, archis architects and engineers have planned the “Campus Ost” as a homogeneous unit while retaining existing buildings. The aim is to bring together scattered service units and to realise state-of-the-art workplace requirements for a thousand employees. To this end, five new buildings are planned that are connected by an “Innovation Lounge”.
The Future Work concept takes the needs of the employees into account, with spontaneous communication, project work and cross-functional cooperation all promoted. Two glazed meeting rooms can be booked per floor. The transparency of the fecofix double glazing can be controlled with electrically-operated blinds. The flush fecotür H85 wooden door elements on the corridor side with concealed frames and oak wood decor surfaces achieve a sound insulation test value of Rw,P = 42 dB. Wall-integrated fecoair overflow elements enable air exchange with high sound insulation at the same time. The team areas are also divided and acoustically separated by communication rooms defined using partition walls. The closed wall surfaces can be written on and are designed to be pinnable with magnetic or felt surfaces. The writeable system walls thereby become a tool for agile methods such as Design Thinking, Scrum or Kanban. The colourful design with large-format picture motifs on the walls and thematically-matching furniture creates identification and orientation points.
With this investment, the IT service provider is positioning itself as an attractive employer in the competition for skilled employees and is strengthening Karlsruhe as an IT location.
