Andreas Müller Hydrokulturen specialises in transforming workspaces into places worth living in through commercial interior greening. The BIOPHILICUM is the new company building that embodies this philosophy. The offices were planned and designed with the feco team, combining biophilic design and modern working environments. Biophilic design means creating a connection to nature in the working environment, especially through greenery and living plants. This has a positive effect on the health, well-being and performance of employees. It also helps to attract and retain skilled workers who are looking for an attractive working environment.
The BIOPHILICUM offers a green working world composed of different areas. The “Basecamp”is the central meeting point for all employees and invites in alpine style to delicious coffee in cosy seating areas. Interdepartmental meetings take place here daily and an old climbing rope symbolically leads from one floor to the next. The “Botanic Office” is the administrative area with green accents. This is an impressive demonstration of how Green Work can improve the working atmosphere and positively influence the indoor climate. The Plant Hall is a bright and friendly space surrounded by photographs and green landscapes. Energy-efficient LED lighting simulates daylight and provides a view of the park-like outdoor area. The outdoor area is a park-like garden that invites you to linger. Here, staff can take a walk during their lunch break or rest on a bench. The garden is also a showcase for the different types of plants the company offers.
